The Agriculture, Environment and Natural
Resources Commission (AENRC) is a group of member NGOs
committed to sustainable agriculture, food security,
sustainable livelihoods and conservation of the natural
environment in Lesotho. Some of the member organizations
have a specific remit of agriculture and natural resources
management, but the majority is NGOs that see the work of
the commission as a way of assisting their membership and
clients out of poverty. A set of programmes have been
designed by the commission to assist in the up scaling of
agricultural development and environmental conservation in
Lesotho.
The Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources
Commission (AENRC) is aimed at coordinating member NGOs
committed to sustainable agriculture, food security,
sustainable livelihoods and conservation of the natural
resources and environment in Lesotho. The premise of the
Commission is to support participation of member of NGOs in
the implementation of policies aimed at enhancing food
security, environmental stewardship and conservation of
natural resources.
